The County of Brant twin pad fundraising campaign got a boost Wednesday thanks to a donation from BGI Graphics on Paris Road.

The company donated $25,000 to the arena campaign.

Kristian Carson, BGI Graphics president, said the donation reflects the company’s commitment to the community.

"BGI Graphics, a part of the Paris and Brant County area for 20 years, is proud to have this opportunity to be a part of the twin pad project through our donation," Carson said. "The twin pad complex is a great addition to our community for today and for the future."

County Coun. Brian Coleman and Mayor Ron Eddy toured BGI's facility before accepting the cheque on behalf of the campaign committee.

"It's great to see a long-time Paris business step up and contribute and we appreciate the support," Coleman said.

Eddy thanked BGI for the contribution.

The campaign committee has set a fundraising goal of $3.5 million toward the $20 million Brant Sports Complex, located at Powerline and Rest Acres roads. The campaign is edging close to the $2.5 million mark.

The project is being funded in equal parts by the County of Brant and the federal and provincial governments.
